Youth Trap Shooting Class 2008
Trap shooting has been a source of entertainment for centuries, and is relatively easy to learn. The Oregon Sportsman's Club will be offering its Youth Trap Shooting Class beginning in April. This course will be open to youth 12 or older with proof of Hunter Safety Certification. Parents/adults are also welcome to participate. This class will focus on safe shotgun handling and shotgun-shooting fundamentals.
The program is run by Hunter Safety Instructors certified by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and/or Shooting Sports Leaders certified by the Wisconsin 4H Foundation. The following club members will serve as lead instructors for the youth trap shooting class:

Students need to bring their own eye and ear protection! Participants are also encouraged to bring their own shotguns; however, guns can be provided by the club, if necessary. Please insure any gun used is in safe working condition. No shot size larger than 7 1/2 will be permitted. Twelve (12) and twenty (20) gauge shot shells will be available for purchase or individuals may bring their own. The cost is only $5. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
