Open Invitation – Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at OSC, 11/15/2015

Hi Everyone,

We have fantastic news. The Dane County Pheasants Forever Chapter's Access Ability Wisconsin Team has purchased the first "All-Terrain Wheelchair" to be located in Dane County. This would not have been possible without your support, volunteer efforts and contributions. Based on the successful fund raising efforts coupled with a receipt of a $10,000 grant froom the WI-DNR the chair is now a reality. It will be housed at the Oregon Sportsman's Club.

You are all invited to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony to be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, November, 15, Oregon Sportsman's Club, Oregon WI.

As you may already know, this enhanced wheelchair for use by individuals with physical mobility challenges will provide independent access to Wisconsin's outdoor public and private hunting and trail resources to hunt, mentor future hunters, help with conservation, habitat restoration or to simply just to get out and enjoy being outdoors.

The All-Terrain Wheelchair is basically a wheelchair on tracks which enables it go where a traditional wheelchair or scooter can't go. At a top speed of 4 miles per hour, it is not an ATV but rather a device which really makes it ideal for someone that uses a wheelchair, crutches, etc. TThey can quietly and safely maneuver in the woods or fields leaving a minimal footprint without causing damage to the environment.

We hope that you will be able to attend.

Sincerely,
Ray Anderson, Monica Kamal and our entire Pheasants Forever,
Access Ability Wisconsin team
