Volunteering
Without the tireless dedication and commitment of our volunteers to help keep our organization strong, we would not be able to offer the activities, classes, leagues, and events that keep our members coming back year after year. Please consider volunteering time, as our league and event directors need your help. Members who volunteer are eligible for work-hour credits that reduce membership fees. Hour requirements and fee reductions are determined each year and are outlined below.
Work-hour credits earned during the current membership year apply to next year’s membership. Each hour worked earns a $5 credit toward annual dues. Single members may work up to 12 hours to reduce annual dues by $60. Family members may work up to 15 hours to reduce annual dues by $75. Because of the low-cost junior membership fee, no work hour credit is available for those members. However, we encourage their participation in skill-level-appropriate workdays.
Please note. It is the responsibility of each member to log his or her hours. A clipboard with work log sheets is located in the clubhouse. The club secretary maintains records of all work log sheets and work hours must be logged if they are to be counted. In December, each member receives a balance sheet stating the membership fee due, less credit for hours worked. Credit accrued toward membership dues is awarded for hours worked only. Donations, special prices, or other arrangements may not be made.
