At Shine United, we believe in good karma. So when our friends at the Oregon Sportsman’s Club needed a new website, we were more than happy to step up and donate the time, resources and energy needed to design an online presence that rang true to the club’s rich 44-year history.
Founded in 2001, Shine United is a 36-person full-service advertising, design and digital agency based in Madison, Wisconsin. We are just as passionate about building great brands and marketing campaigns as we are about the celebrating the outdoors. From hunters, campers, and fisherman, to hikers, bikers, skiers and marathon runners, Shine has a very diverse outdoor culture. In fact, we have been named one of the top places to work by Outside magazine for the past two years.
For some employees, that love of the outdoors leads right to the Oregon Sportsman’s Club. Currently, four Shine employees are members of the club: Mike Kriefski, John Krull, Alex Schmalz, and Jeff Szpak. These four ad men, along with Madison-based photographer Shawn Harper, make up the club’s reigning Class AA championship trapshooting team, the United Clay Busters of America – Local 505. Shine co-founder Mike Kriefski established the hard-hitting clay busters in 2005 and the team just celebrated its 10th year competing at the club. Shine’s other co-founder, Curt Hanke, is a former trap team and club member.
Working with the Oregon Sportsman’s Club was a natural fit for Shine. Many of our clients have deep roots in the outdoors. Sitka® Gear, GORE-TEX® Fabrics, LaCrosse Footwear, Mizuno, and Winston Fly Rods are just a handful of the passion-driven brands we work with. “The Oregon Sportsman’s Club is a truly special place,” said Mike Kriefski. “It has given us so much over the years, we are very honored to be able to give back by donating this website.”
Sincerely,
Your Friends at Shine United
